nintendo confirms switch 2 a backwardcompatible upgrade with enhanced
In a move that proves Nintendo are absolute tech wizards, the elusive Switch 2 has been confirmed to be chucking a technological u-turn, delightfully choosing to be backward-compatible with original Switch games. We’ve all coughed up a fair few quids for devices only to realise that they've dropped support for old formats quicker than a hot jacket potato. It's like trying to shove a cassette tape into a Blu-ray player, and it's as fruitful as searching for hen's teeth.

Oh, don't forget about the Nintendo Switch Online. Goodness, no! That’s still part of the plan, promising you nights of swearing at the telly while muttering, "just five more minutes before bed". Because after all, who really needs a solid 8 hours of sleep anyway?
So, let’s hold our breaths and silently cheer for the unnamed Switch 2. It’s the gift that will invariably keep us returning, mostly because we're gluttons for both punishing game-play and for a company that understands how eternally frustrating it is to keep up with the pace of changing tech. Brilliantly done, Nintendo. Brilliantly done. Read more here.
